Raptorretrofit! Help! Cars pulling over for me!

Guys,
WEIRDEST thing just happened to me coming home from the lake (10pm). I took the back highway home and 1/2 of oncoming cars were pulling over towards the side of the road for me. This is one of the first times I've driven in the very dark night with my RetroRetrofit headlights... So this has to be the problem. I've already aimed them WAY down...

Used my wife's rovers projectors, pointed them at the garage back about 40 feet, marked her lights all along the garage. Then pulled my truck up in the same spot and they were way high... Pointed them down to where hers were, and then even more. So this SHOULDN'T be the issue.

I have the 5300k bulbs... So they aren't even blue. I was worried somehow the lights were looking blue to oncoming traffic... Or maybe that I was aimed at them the perfect way to were the cutoff was bouncing up and down and looking like I was flashing them... But I looked when I got home and I have to lay on the ground out in front of the truck to meet the bright cutoff point.

I also had 2 cars (not the one directly in front of me... But the second car up) pull over to the side of the road and let the car in front of me and me pass them. SO weird.

I also was running my amber Rigid fogs (I have used them ALL The time at night... NEVER had an issue... Have them pointed way down at the pavement directly in front on my truck) I realized maybe this was freaking people out on the way home... So I shut them off... And people were still pulling over when coming at me... Like all the way over to the side.

The lights aren't flickering or anything... What's going on?! The last thing I want to be doing is looking like I'm imitating an emergency vehicle.

Are the slightly blue lights (5300k) and the amber marker lights freaking people out? I'm lost... Maybe I need to aim my lights even lower?

Obviously they think I look like an ambulance/police in the distance. But it's not like I have flashing lights... Unless somehow they look like they're flashing?

If you guys can't figure it out either I might have my wife drive my truck at me on a dark road and see what it looks like... Maybe people just aren't used to seeing a vehicle with so maybe marker lights all over it... And the projectors. Idk... Help me please. I don't want to get locked up lol

Just weird people coming at me were pulling over to the side and stopping... Speed limit was 65 and probably 15 people pulled over.

I guess who cares... Glad people can see me! Hate trusting people on 2 lane highways at night...

Might be the wider/higher stance than most people are used of, matched with all the marker lights and amber rigids you might look like a semi in the distance.

Yeah I had that thought too. I've just never seen cars pull all the way over onto the shoulder for a semi... Maybe just a couple feet... so I just figured it'd have something to do with looking like a police. Good thought tho... I guess that could be it.

I guess people get used to just seeing cars with a couple of white headlights... Then you come up to a truck with projects, 2 amber fogs, and 5 marker lights it wakes them up...

It was such a weird feeling having everyone pull to the side... For a few I thought a buddy was pulling a trick on me and put one of those old school red flashing police lights on the top of my roof.

And yeah... Oncoming traffic AND people that were 2 cars up I was following (traveling same direction as me) pulled over too and let me and the car in front of me pass... That happened twice.

You'd think if that happened cause I was blinding them the first car in front of me would have been the first one over on the side of the road using the 1 finger salute.. But my cutoff was well below his back window.. And he didn't seem to be bothered by me.

They weren't pulling over for you, they were pulling over for the six police cars cars that were chasing you. What county lockup are you in anyway that has internet service?

I have people getting out of my way too all the time and my headlights are stock, of course that is my driving style. Probably the extra special kick ass RR lights and the Raptor maybe? Maybe they were all drunks going home from Labor Day weekend?

grantoser, did you actually buy the headlights from me? Maybe you can send me a email with your contact info so I can confirm. [email protected] Also, Ive never heard of 5300K bulbs, maybe you mean 5000K???

Either way, I wouldn't worry to much about it, like everyone said, they were probably just pulling over to get a good look at the pure awesomeness that is a Raptor!
