Raptor Run 1 - Anza-Borrego Desert State Park 2010-01-30

We parked together at the top of Diablo Drop-off and had lunch.







Below: Here's an Ocotillo cactus. They're very brown most of the year but in the winter they turn a "fuzzy green" and have red flowers at the ends.

After lunch we continued onward with the ultimate go being Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA).



In a one-lane area of the canyon we came upon another vehicle - another Raptor! A white Raptor driven by Syko, an off-roader who added a custom fabricated skid plate and differential armor.

After saying goodbye to the Sixth Raptor and crew, we continued onward.





Below: We finally reached the highway and the sign for the canyon we just came through.


We went on to Ocotillo Wells and ran through some mud and watched people riding motorcycles, quads, sand rails and buggies.

It was a great get-together and everyone had a great time. It was really nice to meet folks from the forumz and to run the trails with other Raptors and their owners.
