So I went out on Thursday and bought a New 2018 Ford Raptor at Jim Tidwell Ford in Kennesaw GA. This is my 3rd F-150 and hopefully my last for a long time.

Started out with a 2015 F-150 Platinum in Magnetic (which I loved) but traded to buy my daughter a VW Jetta.

I missed having a truck so I bought a highly optioned 2016 F-150 Lariat in Shadow Black. I added a 6" Rough Country lift, 35" Nitto Terra Grapplers, Fuel Krank 20" wheels and a few other options and mods like SYNC3 upgraded module (from a Lincoln MKZ).

Love the 2018 Raptor, got a great deal on my trade-in. Attached are a few pics...

And here's my old 2016 F-150 Lariat 4WD FX4 with Chrome Package. 6" Roguth Country lift, 35" Nitto Terra Grappler tires, 20" Fuel Krank wheels.

If you want to buy it, click here for more details.

Side-by-side old vs. new shot also included.

Looking for ideas on options and mods. already added a stubby antenna, rubber bed mat, and plan to add a Bakflip MX4.

How much to add all that stuff on the Lariat?

The lift, wheels and tires were $6100. Another $750 for the Bakflip G2, $50 for the SYNC3 module, so call it about $7K in addons

Thanks, I really liked this setup, but I had a few issues.

The overall height was tough on gas mileage (averaging around 13.8 mpg in city, about 16 on the hwy). Also, I had some slight rubbing on hard left turns in the front left wheel well.

The Raptor is just an overall better setup, stance and ride. The used car manager drove my truck and he said this was one of the quietest 6" rough country lifted F-150s he has ever driven. It was solid, but there's just no comparison to a Gen2 Raptor.

My wife loves the tighter turning radius and my 17 year old daughter even liked driving it, where she was a bit intimidated by the 2016 lifted F-150.
