Was little bit bored today. Ended up heat wrapping the afe cold side intake to throttle body. Used stainless zip ties to help secure. Using a heat gun vs. Bare metal it does make a difference. Radiator heat blasting the pipe directly figured it could use a little insulation. Still have to put bbk on as well. New side cover installed with epoxy. See if I can get both installed next week. Then some more runs. Still have not went to stage 2.

So I tried installing AFE charge pipe last Sunday. The wrong coupling was kitted. Way to large. Had to get correct coupling sent received it Friday.

Try again today . Everything worked out. Got BBK throttle body installed with epoxied side cover. The AFE hose clamps included are too small on large side and way to big on TB side ended up reusing the factory hose clamps . Checked and double checked all connections . Reset ecm to relearn idle and flow gave it about 5 easy miles to warm up . Drove it around slowly built some boost . Couple WOT Everything good. About a 1 mile from house did a hard full boost run . Slowed down and got back to house. Got underneath check clamps again . I wish I had a infrared gun. The hot side of Garrett was very warm betting 110 deg at least . Cold side was ambient 65 deg. So Garrett doing its job. I'm going to do another spark plug change next week end then some more Draggy runs. See where I'm at. Before switching to Cobb stage 2.

A couple more pictures underneath before I bolted skid plate back on. Density altitude supposed to be very good tomorrow morning. May try a draggy run on my way to work .

I think i'm at the limit of Cobb stage 1 tune . i will try for a best this weekend with fresh set of plugs . I gained 1mph though and slightly bested my 0-60 . I did not launch at 2500 rpm more like 2100 ish . I was on a different road because there are a ton of cops out and was picking up radar signals behind me . Yep comparing my last best run from November 20th .I launched it harder in November by looking at the Gs.

Got plugs changed went with .028 gap . Stayed with NGK ruthenium . One step colder than stock . Greased up MSD coils again with spark guard dielectric. I'm running out of cooler mornings now . So i'm not going to do a final dragy on Stage 1 tune. I have Stage 2 cobb installed. Defiantly feels bit stronger , you can tell that it increased timing i have not driven it hard yet ,i have rolled into wot for short blips but not a full pull. I will give it a few days to settle in see if i can crack a 12.99et . Stay tuned

I switched back to stage 1 91 octane earlier in week . Just to see if fresh plugs made a difference. It did . I think cobb limits torque on low end I can't get out of 4.9sec 0 to 60 no matter if i launch 2000 rpm or 2500 seems like. My 1/4 mile mph did improve by almost 1mph.
