Anyone want a teaser pic?

This is a one of the possible routes of one of the days. This is only 3/4 of the route as I'm not sure where it will be starting from.

Either way here it is and it includes,

Copper Harbor, MI

Porcupine Mountians

Baraga State Forest

The Paulding light

Lac Vieux Desert Casino

Little towns

Lots of Lake Superior shoreline!

Kanakry

Sounds cool, might just have to give up sledding for the long weekend to go play with you all.

I do have a question on your proposed route though. Have you made that run in the winter? I spent the best 7 years of my life snowmobiling and off-roading my old Bronco while I was "learning" up at Michigan Tech. Been on allot of those trails and depending on conditions that's a long ass way. You thinking a two day trip? How many miles a day? All off-road or are you thinking about a fair amount of road travel between trails?

Sounds like a fun challenge!!!

Let me know if you need help pulling things together.

That route I haven't been on in probably 12 years. I grew up in Norway, MI. That route is a Mixture of Country roads, Forest Rds and 41/28. That is 1 day. I don't wanna give away to much right now but that day is 318miles. Granted the great part about it is if it is taking to much time or we can't make it we just hop on a different road. It really all depends on the Snow coverage.

That day is probably the less "Technical" day per say. The other day I have planned if a fairly technical trail in the summer time. The snow will only make it more fun!!!

I'm hoping we can have everything on our end finalized in a week or 2. So we can put out all the information and have everyone sign up and reserve there rooms before the snowmobilers get them.

I'm getting excited. We also now have another sponsor that joined on about 1/2 hr ago.

Hotels???? Scratch that, we can camp! Best part about winter camping-no mosquitoes.

Although, I do usually have to birth my ***** when camping in winter. Take it from me and save yourself the trouble, tie some cordelette on your mushroom cap, that way when you have to pee, you just pull the turtle head out of his shell. Nothing like wiggling 2 inches of ***** through 3 inches of clothing.

I seriously can't stop daydreaming about this trip. Only thing I don't have that I REALLY wish I had was some aftermarket tires. The OEM do not instill a ton of confidence in me, but I'm willing to give them a shot.

The list of crap I'd bring with is growing and growing! From stuff as simple as a stove to make a hot drink on the trail, to a chainsaw to widen it!

Your daydreaming about it? It litterly has consumed my life since Mark and I decided to do this. Between sending out emails to plotting/ searching for different routes to trying to get as many items figured out. Mark and I have pretty much gone all out and pulling out alot of stops. I really just wanna spill the beans now but we have a few items to complete first.

Chainsaw use is more than likely going to be frowned at in the state and national forest which is almost all of the UP. LOL But with that there will be a list of items everyone must have. Its mostly going to be basic stuff but the list grows. Its mainly for saftey and recovery. Don't let this scare anyone as most of it we all have currently.

Yeah, I tend to over pack, so a trip that involves the truck is perfect for me. From my -40 degree bag, to a backpack, 4 season tent, fuel, snowshoes, food, clothes, lights, boots, more clothes, more food, shovels and so on, I can't stop thinking about it. I better switch to some **** before my wife thinks I'm weird or something!
