I have a truck cap and a roof cargo basket on top. I’m wanting to add lights all around it. If I use relays on all the switches and I don’t use the inside 120v plugs I’m wondering how many more amps can I draw without overloading the truck? Thanks!

here, on frf
as much as you want. i have 3 40" lightbars, 14 cubes, 14 additional aux switches, 110watt vhf, 2 cameras, more rgb lights than you can count, and an audio system that draws 200amps. i doubt theres anyone here thst draws more current than i do. i killed my oem battery in 4 months. after a battery swap, everything has been going good for 5 years.

To answer your question......you would need to be pulling an additional 60-80 amps full time before your alternator would fail to keep up. that's when you start to stress the battery and eventually the alternator.
