How do bypass shocks in the rear give you more travel?

Thank You for all of your advice Zombie Killer! I am stopping the mad dump of cash dropping into my Raptor. I love my SVC Bumpers, UCAs... lol it really sucks that the truck doesn't drive when the steering rack takes a dump, I think you have a spare in the bed... I just ordered the SDHQ shock guards and diff plate. I don't want to break it.., I have the frame saver after almost ripping the a=arm mounts off of the front of the truck.
Everything you said is soo it was great to hear it from you. I love your truck, it is a beast! If you are planning a baja trip and don't mind a drag along I am always ready to have some fun. I need a radio and one more spare tire..

True: Shock shaft length , geometry, bumpstops , and driveline angle determine travel.

False: bypass shocks alone provide more travel.
