I've driven for four years now and only been stopped once for not having my front plate on. Got stopped another time because my sticker was apparently out and he didn't notice my front plate.
You know Ford got lazy on the engineering when the manual flat out tells you to take off the plate in high performance settings. Why couldn't they just not have the intercooler extend into the bumper? That's a better idea.
