Front License plate Rivets

For those of you that have drilled out the rivets on your front license plate bracket, what size drill bit did you use? Or better yet if someone doesn’t have the front bracket installed, what size holes are there?

I was going to do same thing today on removing bracket. Figure I will start small.

I purchased bumper plugs and they say holes need to be 9/32” for the plugs to work so no larger than that for my plan.
