Had a couple requests for some in progress shots of the front bumper i made. cant figure out how to add pics to the chat so creating a quick thread.
this was my take on a frame cut front bumper.
the tricky part was getting that radius of the main bar just right. it is made from 2" tube and mounts to the frame horns and the steering rack bolts.
things i would do different:
-the frame horns i would have welded a blockoff plate then the tube striagh to the plate. then ran an inline tube clamp. would have looked cleaner, but maybe not as strong as 1/4 plate?
-the bottom mount holes i would have made into a U vs a full circle. so you do not have to completely remove the steering rack bolts.
maybe i will mess around with it one day and fix what i mentioned.
i dont think there is a pic but the skids are help on using some weld on threaded tabs.
