A little teaser of something I'm working on - to put the Roof Top Tent, two different types of Awnings, and a Rigid SR50 Amber and Rigid 50" E-Series White light on my Raptor.

The basket that holds all those parts would be removeable for when it's not needed.

Early stages of the design - but interested to hear what you might do differently or add to it.

Maybe a quick connect/ disconnect in the bed for bracing. Welding in something that big wouldn't make it convenient if you needed the full bed for another application

Under the cab height would be awesome. Something that could keep you still able to go into a public garage, drive through and not have to mess with aerodynamics (or gear blowing off with high speeds)

Tie downs or connections for bungee chords.
Steps or ladder built into the frame when you don't have the full tent set up (something to easily get up to grab gear or do final tie downs.

Light weight!

Optional lighting spaces for rigid side lights or under the cargo for night setups

Looks great. Can't wait to see the final product

Lighter weight as possible... Remove any thing not required for support the lighter is better... and reduced height below the cab is better..

Yeah... I'm torn on that one... I'd like it set back and lower... but if I do that, then the awnings are going to be a problem and also the tent would stick out behind the rear bumper which I want to avoid. Not only aesthetics but also fitting into parking spaces - I tend to reverse right up against the wall.

I think it's about as light as I can get it while still having tubes going to where I need to for mounting things. Only thing that's a bit unnecessary is the wrap-around railing around the front edge which gives it that pre-runner / chase truck look - but I'm hoping to be able to use some very thin wall material for that part at least.

How is it gonna be braced? To the bed floor, frame, bed rails between the support legs?

Flat plate running along the entire bed caps clamped down to the bed sides, possibly with an inner brace down to the bed mounts.
