DIY Siping

Anyone try this. I have 30-40% left on the original BFG's. They are terrible in light snow and rain. Has anyone tried ideal tire groover? Debating new shoes or siping my old ones and trying to extend their life to next fall.

There bad in snow new. It should help if you can find someone to do it. I think offic like this is it worth it?

Thanks Wilson. You are right. They were bad in snow new, but are terrible now. I could live with bad. Now they are scary.

Just go get some duratracs and be done with it. If there's any life at all regular f150 guys like to buy them.

Agreed, Duratracs are the way to go. I have them on my truck and wife's Jeep.

What I use on the race tires and have used it on my bald BFGs in the past

I didn't run the tires in the winter. I did it in the summer, it helped in the rain but its noting like fresh rubber. I had my spare set of BFGs on the truck before winter hit.

Thanks guys. Wilson you were right. Put duratracs on last week. Should have done it a while ago. Much better and a lot less noise than my worn ou BFG's
