I figured we'd let him go through with it and then get sued, that's more fun than stopping him from doing it. I bet ADD would be amped to sell him a bumper if they knew he was going to "reverse engineer" it.

Hey Gen 2 owners,

I have been doing some research for DIY custom bumper kits for the 2017 Raptor. I just talked to Mariah from Move bumpers, she said they are working on a Cad program for the Gen 2. I also asked if they would sell me a download of the Cad program and at no surprise! She said NO!

It looks like they have Gen 1 bumper kits. The Price looks good compared to 2k!

It looks like I will either wait for the release of the Gen 2 kit and reverse engineer it. or purchase an ADD bumper! It will come down to patience...lol! I have access CNC Plasma and a CNC Plasma operator that can write a program.

I really appreciate your efforts on this bumper deal. That said, I agree with others and think you would be way better of working with tubes. Not a big fan of those bumpers.

Gen 2 guy here, never owned a Gen 1, and sorry those bumpers are ugly. Initial comments were mostly constructive and liked the idea of a DIY bumper but suggested not using those designs. OP derailed his own thread. It's actually such a blatant overreaction I seriously wonder if it was intentional.

This Gen 1 vs gen 2 war is ridiculous. As a gen 2 guy, I see way more threads derailed by "us".

And for the record, some of the best advice I've gotten on this site has come from Gen 1 guys and no, I don't want them to leave.

Take your Tin Can comments over to the deserted Gen 1 forum and talk about how great your old Tin Can was in it's glory days!
