Dealer Crashed Into My Truck

I didn't really think there is a whole lot I can do, still grinds my gears a bit.
They told me the rear taillight got scratched and their body shop guy thinks he can buff that out. I deal with ABS and poly carbonate for a living and know neither of those are very friendly to repairing scratches. Maybe I should tell them to at least replace the taillight instead of buffing it.
Similar experience happened to me at the dealership. I told them I wanted it restored like it was before the accident. OEM parts. I wouldn't want a taillight with buffed out scratches. And because of the inconvenience it caused me I negotiated a new bed rug and car mats.

If this had happened to me with my luck the kid who hit it would have kept it to himself and I would have gone to pick up my truck without a word being said to me.

I'm impressed that the kid ignored all of the warning to actually hit another vehicle. Mine screams at me when I am parking in my garage (tight fit).

that alarm is probably going off all the time in every vehicle. My previous stealership service bay exited to a 90 degree right or left turn, 1 lane. 3 point turn for me, but I saw lot porters make it in an f150.

Took my truck to a dealer for an oil change, power inverter fan noise, clicking muffler and the recall. One of their workers was pulling another truck out that was parked next to mine and swiped my truck's rear bumper causing damage. I have not seen it yet, but definitely P I S S E D off.
What would you tell them?
I’m so sorry to hear that!
That happened to my 2018 Raptor when I took it in for an oil change. The dealer was a nightmare so I hope you have better luck than me.

Im a pretty understanding guy so Id just make sure they knew I wanted it fixed ASAP and thats it. Approximately 15 years in collision repair has given me a soft spot for this type of situation lol. It sucks, but happens. As long as they fix it, you're good! Just make sure that if they repair it, that the repair has a warranty!

Thats what I would do at least! Post some pics when you see it?

Hopefully they fix it right. The Ford dealer in Vestal, NY had my Expedition in for an oil change, and a few other things. Well, they threw in a door ding w/ chipped paint free of charge. Thing is they tried to pass it off. Call them out it… they apologized, and offered to fix it. Almost 2.5-3 months before the appointment. When I picked it up the truck was filthy (it was spotless when I dropped it off). The driver door had swirls in it. A little orange peel texture near the area of damage. Also, paint overspray on the driver door forward pillar edge along windshield.

I wrote a detailed explanation of what happened to my truck on Google. Hopefully, they lost business behind it. I understand people make mistakes. But, don’t damage my truck, and try to pass it off like nothing happened.

This is the very reason why I clean my before I take it to the dealer. Makes it easier to inspect when I pick it up. And yes, I inspect. Most dealers inspect upon arrival. I’ve had some take pics.
