Good point. I’ll make sure I take off the “cute little” support brackets before I enter the Baja 1000
You'll probably want to add some support tubes instead.

If you beat on the truck, keep an eye on the aluminum body panel seams for cracking. Those chase racks stiffen the bed, which is designed to flex.

i was looking at this part for a while and never found a pic on a raptor before..thanks for sharing! Had a similar design on a medium size truck and not really fan of the more popular stuff for the raptor. As for the rack, my bed has a roller cover and is often full. i end up throwing some extra stuff in the rear. so it's a plus if i the rear seats are taken..and i think the rack is removable so you can keep it in the garrage and use it when needed only..I got used of not having a sports bar so i don't know if i should pull the triger on this one.
