Interesting. How long did it take for ford to confirm you order after placing it? I am assuming confirmation via email.

They can submit orders all day long and if they don't have an allocation it could sit in an "unscheduled" status indefinitely... or until they are given and allocation to align it with.
Weird, there's no other dealers around me that is willing to submit orders for me. Wonder why this one dealer would submit an order. What if I put my non-refundable deposit down and the order never gets built.

Trick question. So, I made my original order the first week of October. Never got an email but got a copy of the order sheet from the dealer. Couple weeks later, with the changes in the option packages, I noticed that my order did not include the Pro Power 2k option. Talked to my dealer and had the order updated. When they updated my order, they added my email address and I did get an order confirmation email. I also got an updated order sheet picture from my salesperson showing the updated options.

Thanks for ******* in my Wheaties, but I appreciate the info. Called ford performance and no record of my order. Going to try back next week. Hope the dealership didn't pull that on me.

Sorry brother. Definitely not trying to f' up your holiday season. Doesn't take long hanging out hear to "adjust your expectations". Good news... it's not a Bronco. My buddy ordered one the day the order banks opened and STILL doesn't have a VIN or build date.

Just to be clear, your order can be submitted, show up as "unscheduled" at FP, and still not have an allocation associated with it. You should ask you dealer/salesperson/sales manager very pointed questions. How many allocations do you have? Does my order have one of those allocations? If not, where am I in line when you do get an allocation?

That's what I exactly I asked them over the phone. The manager or GM or whatever his title was said "It didn't matter on how much the allocation they get, there's a "program" that customers can get into called the Customer Order Verification"...which seems odd.

I am not sure exactly what he meant by "it doesn't matter how many allocations they get" because if they don't get an allocation, you ain't gettin' a truck. As far as order verification once you have an order sheet, you can contact Ford Performance and check the "status" of your order. After you get a VIN, you can track it online through the tracking website.

My salesperson was VERY upfront with me. We have XX number of allocations and X number of 37 Performance allocations and you are number X-2=Y in line.

This is what my sales guy says:

"I spoke with our retail order specialist and he said we don't have allocation but it sounds like a lot of dealers don't right now. But one thing we have the advantage on over other dealers is the ability to order one at MSRP instead of at mark up like most others are doing on uncommon vehicles. The sooner the order the sooner they're fulfilled but there's no guarantee on a time frame or allocation for that matter. Hope this helps!"

I'm not sure how placing an order with this dealer will benefit. I give them $1000 deposit and hope for the best?

I plan to, thanks.
I got the email from one of the sales guy. They have no allocation. Not really sure what the point is of ordering one if they can't even get one. Could be years looks like if they can get some allocation.
