Just 50 or so miles into my second tank of gas. My wife and I were sitting dead still in slow traffic. 2-year-old daughters (twins) in the back. Guy nails me, apparently bounces off, then hits me again. Nobody was hurt (thank God).

Scratch (yeah, being a little nit-picky here:

Well know looks like a good time to do a dovetail and pick up a sweet low profile bumper!

Was thinking about an aftermarket bumper... but whats a "dovetail"

As for bumpers, who makes the good ones and who should I stay away from?

A dovetail bumper is trimming the lower body, its for better departure angles if you want to do that id suggest checking out RPG and Svc, for no dovetail add has nice bolt on solutions

Here's a great example of SVC's Baja rear bumper with a dovetailed bed.

Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help!

Nice looking bumpers, but I think I'll give it a few years before I hack the fenders.
