3rd gear 4.5k+ rpm chirping sound

Tcase chain slapping around? Maybe pull the fill plug and check the fluid level? No idea if that's it, but shouldn't be hard to check.

Edit, doubt it's the chain since it wouldn't be engaged in 2hi.

i think there is “some” engagement due to the clutch pack. Same reason the front axle shaft will slightly spin while in 2wd. Which leads me to think it could be the clutch pack in t-case causing some noise?. Thanks for bringing that up.
