Not exactly 100% Raptor related but they ask some decent questions about the new Gen 2 Ecoboost 3.5 in the regular f-150s and the new 10 speed transmission.

Raptor Comment video (spoiler: nothing new)

Man the cajones on the guys that bought an ecoboost in 2011 must have been massive.

I had an early build 2011 for 3.5 years and never had any issues at all.
I've had my 2014 for 2 years and no issues with this one either.
I'm not scared of the HO 2nd gen.

Why yes I did <lol> 2011 Ecoboost FX4 here and never had a single problem with it. Just routine maintenance. Looking forward to trading it in on my 17 Raptor of course.

Respectfully,

He said 2017 f150 will be at dealers in mid to late Oct. And later said Raptors will be on sale in November. I thinking that if dealers get Raptors to sell in November then the Raptor I ordered in July should be delivered around the same time. (positive thinking)

Also, the first link shows the 10 speed 2017 cruising at 105mph and the rpms at about 2600, that pretty impressive. 65mph was under 2000rpms. during their test drive (with 4 people and luggage) overall mpg was over 20mpg. Even with the Raptor's additional HP, tires & weight it should be close.

BFG KO2's

I replaced the Cooper Discoveries on my 1993 F250 with the BFG KO2s and mileage went from 11 down to 10 mpg. Yes...bad mileage either way. The truck has the 7.5L gasser. That's a drop of 10% due to the tires.
