Snow or fog you definitely want Yellow lights. But you'll still love the HIDs.

HID lights are very nice. After my wife drove the truck at night for the first time she kept talking about the lights and how they illuminate everything. I agree, I drove my old truck tonight and it felt like I had parking lights on by comparison. As for snow, no complaints in the snow I have driven in so far. Extra amber lights do help though.
