I also have my radar detector hard-wired to the battery through the mirror so it starts when the truck starts; it's also a dashcam (****** MaxCam 360C).

And here I was gonna ask what that was till I read the next one... Guess the switches are just decoration except maybe a few lights.

A mirror tap is much easier than wiring your radar detector into your aux switches and wasting a switch. Unless you want the ability to quickly flip off the detector.
