How is the hood clearance when you open it? definitely dig the lower profile of those vs. big ass spot lights.

Ordered a new marker light for the front. Noticed the middle light in the grill intermittently goes off or dims. Took a closer look and it must be a loose connection inside the light housing itself since it would turn on/off whenever I wiggled the wires.

At 1am I tried to go take some photos of the XL80's on my hood mounts to show how much more light they give vs the KC 35w HID and KC Flex Dual spots as I already have pics from that spot but someone was parked in that spot blocking me from doing so.

I did still turn them on even with the lights being somewhat obstructed due to me being left of my normal spot and they have the distance the KC HID's did but over a larger area. The HID's had a much tighter beam which was needed with the lower wattage so you basically had Hot spots at a long range. The XL80's were just as bright at the same distance but with much larger coverage area.

Installed my Vortex mud flaps in preparation of snow/ice. Yeah right......

In "preparation" of snow is the right term, I hope you get more snow than us...

But I agree you will break those very fast in snow and/or ice in my opinion, rigid flaps are risky

I went with some rubber flaps, and those cheap things held up pretty well during my moroko trip and in the last winter deep snow !!
