I heard that the Gen 3 Raptor is going to use a straight five, like the Focus RS. Next gen Mustang will be a three cylinder base model with a four cylinder option. These motors will be badged as "Eco Plus."

Sorry bro, but horsepowerkings has already reported full hybrid turbo-electric aftercooled powertrain for Gen 3 raptor.

How many people who wanted a Raptor did not get one because their numbers were limited?

I'm not talking about those who couldn't afford it. That is a different issue and could be applied to *any* car. I don't have a Audi R8 Spyder in my garage because their numbers are limited that's for sure.

Those who wanted to get a Raptor got one.

That's interesting. We bought a Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro Inferno this year and Toyota was pissed that dealers were placing orders for vehicles that they never planned to make, and no one was ordering white or black, and they insisted they only wanted to make a few Infernos because we only want white as consumers.....Just like out 4runner, I am going to get on the 17 Raptor quickly to make sure I get what I want, as long as its not over invoice.

I dont think he meant not being able to necessarily get one but the ease of which he could get one.

For example my Ford dealer said they werent able to order more than 3 2014 Raptors. I dont know if that was true or not but thats what I was told. I think more than a few people were told this as well so I think he was asking more if it was just going to be a normal allocated vehicle or something special where the dealers couldnt just order them hand over fist.

Yeah 1st-Gen Raptor wasn't "limited" but they were fairly difficult to come by, difficult to order. Very few sitting on lots (except for dealers with markups). Production was more or less limited by Ford. People could find them at invoice but no big discounts like a regular truck.

Based on several interviews, the next Raptor will be more of a full production vehicle, another trim level if you will, similar to a King Ranch or Platinum F150. It should be relatively easy to walk into any Ford dealer, haggle a little off sticker, and place your order. Just like the new vette though, first months will be tough to get one, and many dealers will have markups.
