Kim:

I drove around today after doing a reset and reprogramming everything. And it took about 8 miles before my GPS was lost again. I've attached a photo so you can see. I was actually driving down the main road. I knew where I was going, but if I didn't and wanted to use my GPS to get somewhere, this would certainly be annoying. This update ruined the system sadly! Is there a way I can go back? The small improvements aren't worth the inaccuracy that it has now.

Shane

hey @medic001918

have you had this problem again recently? this happened to me twice before and both times the dealership did a reset to immediately correct it. It hasn't happened again (yet!), but would like to know if you had any permanent solution?

I am having issues with the accuracy of my navigation and whilst sometimes accurate, tends to overshoot where I actually am and then take a while to get back on track.

I have noticed also with the Nav-TV it seems to affect the navigation when you press the rear demister button twice. In other words it freezes the navigation.

Does anyone think that it could be the NAV-TV that is causing the accuracy to be affected?

For the NAV-TV to be able to allow it to enable the functions that are normally disabled, it DISABLES the GPS. Then when you double tap the button it enables the GPS and then it finds your location again

Hey everyone,

I'm just stopping by to let you know that Ford has created a patch to revert the Ford splash screen back to the Raptor image (for those of you that have installed V3.7). This fix can be downloaded from: http://syncmediaprod.blob.core.windows.net/swparts/Gen2v37_RaptorPatch.zip You must extract the downloaded .zip file and place the extracted folder and files on the root directory of a USB drive. Keep in mind that the USB must be formatted to FAT32 or it will not work. Once the USB is inserted in your Raptor, the installation will start automatically (just like the other software updates).

If V3.7 is available for your vehicle at: SYNC Technology | SYNC Support | Ford.com I suggest holding off on the installation until the issue has been resolved.

Hi Guys, I am new here, and I just got a 2013. I installed the recommended update, and I got the Lincoln Presidential splash screen. Anyway, I just read this whole thread, and I saw the pathc posted by the Ford Rep. However, she said that it was intended for 2014. I tried it anyway, and I got an error.

I am a software developer, so I took a look at it and made a small change.
Change the autoinstall.lst file to the following:

Code:
;+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++!
;          Microsoft Windows Automotive         !
; USB Installation Directive File !
; Raptor Specific Patch for Startup Screen !
;                                               !
;+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++!

;;;
;;; The following tags are software versions supported by this update
;;;

[SYNCGen2_3.08.15128]
[SYNCGen2_4.32.14122]
Item1 = EA5T-14F496-MA
Open1 = SyncMyRide\EA5T-14F496-MA.zip
Options = AutoInstall

Hope that helps someone. It worked for me.
