I did a complete overhaul on my AFE Stage 2 I bought it used for $120 total steal! 
I ran it for about 5,000 miles did some checking on it, couplers where starting to dry rot, 
I ordered replacements from
www.siliconeintakes.com, parts came in, major trimming was needed on the elbow coupler
so I did some trimming on the 4.5 inch side 
turned out perfect on the fit 
the ****** coupler fit perfect 
did some cleaning on the filter, after a major clean it still wasn't right 
so I ordered a new filter and the filter box cover installed them 
so far performance seems better and air is cooler since the cover, and noise is cut down! Too bad it doesn't come from AFE like this!
