The shim is cast with a built-in depression on the highest (thickest?) edge, and flat on the other side. Interesting.. I bet the reason it's cast like that is to not run out of threads, so that it should be placed facing up.

i dropped mine off at the body shop. when our camper blew over last march, it damaged the truck a bit. finally got around to getting it in. new hitch, passenger bedside, backup camera, and a few other parts. they say 2 weeks. lets see. would have been nice to have in the snow storm today though. instead im drifting snow and slush in my crappy 01 civic

My son had a 01 Civic I bought him years ago. He liked it so much he jumped a guard rail and landed in a ladies 2 car garage. He was car #3. He was drinking and driving of course.
