I wasn't so lucky, the hinges on the garage door got me. The tailgate is only a few inches from the door. I had to replace that plastic housing around the camera.
I have no idea how the tailgate opened. Seems it was on it's own. When it happened I thought there was something wrong
with the garage door.

Son of a bitch gets hit more often than it should! Someone finds a way to disable it, let me know. Shame, had to add way to drop it from inside, don’t want it on my fob!

Oldfart,

The only real scuff on the truck less pinstripes is from that happening to me.

I got mine about two weeks after getting the truck. Scratched the handle real good.. I came outside and was wondering why the tailgate was down after I opened the door and remote started...

Bought another handle but haven't got around to getting it painted...

That REALLY sucks.

I had read in here that it can be disabled in Forskin. I don't have that set up in my truck yet.

I was really lucky that I had no damage the first time. Glad to know it's not just me. This is 2 times too many now!

I park mine outside, like an animal, I guess. In over 2 years, I haven't ever had it open accidentally.

I have wondered about it though when I back up against something. It does seem like a stretch to be considered a convenience. Maybe I will superglue the button. lol.

man that sucks. gotta say I'm worried about that too.

I should put some padding on there. just in case.

I should also disable the fob. can't be difficult

Easy if you don't care about keeping your stuff nice. I don't like any bike/car/truck I care about being left outside. My Silverado I keep outside. It's out of the way on the one side of my parking area because I don't really care about it, I just have it for a beater.

that is a whole other debate. If anyone wants to keep their 75k truck outside, have at it.

I also prefer to keep mine in a garage when not in use.
