Is everybody's Home-link reception/reach really bad?

I’ve looked into this issue before and there seems to be some correlation between poor reception with Ford’s Homelink and Genie brand garage openers. Can anyone attest to that?

My house came with an old Genie opener, circa 2001. Has a little wire that hangs down as the "antenna."

Works great with the Homelink, I can open it out on the dirt road before turning into our driveway... maybe 150 feet away give or take.

My 2020 I have to be parked within 5' or so of the door, and flip the visor back and forth while saying a prayer that it will open. Quite obnoxious.

Lift master openers - have to be within a couple of feet to work With my 2018. If Door is wet with rain forget it - and that sucks worse because I then have to get out (in the rain) to open the door which is why I want the damn opener to begin with.

~300ft here. I can usually hit mine about 3 houses down the road and from the angle I hit it the signal is going through at least 3 walls. So weird how much disparity there is between us all.

My '19 limited range sucks as well. Funny thing is... most times it won't even work if parked right outside the door and sometimes it works 100' away. When it does work, if I press the button again to make it stop, it does nothing. I have to wait 20 or so seconds for it to work again. It has a mind of it's own and works when it feels like it... reminds me of my wife

Mine works well in general. On approach I can successfully open the door from at least 1-2 houses away. I've never tried further. Sometimes when backing out and still in the driveway I have to hit the button more than once to get it to close.

I tried double clicking the button yesterday after seeing one of the comments here. It opened from further than usual. I'll report back if that proves out to be a thing. Something to try.
