I have had my raptor for about 2.5 months now. Ive completed my engine mods, sterio, and small accessories. I have compiled my next list of upgrades but don’t know what to expect from the Icon stage 3 setup. I wanted to have the truck long enough and put it through enough trials to see where i feel the truck could be improved upon. All in all, this thing is a BEAST in stock form. I am thoroughly impressed.

But based on my perception the suspension is soft, and while great for crawling or smooth back roads, i feel the suspension lacks when getting up to speed and hitting bigger bumps etc.

I am looking at the Stage 3 Icon kit but cant find any write ups on what to expect vs stock? For the money i would hope it would be like floating on a cloud..

How is it on the street? Off-road, what else can i expect?

Thanks for the feedback.

Haven’t heard much with them on the Rap but they are a solid choice in the Toyota world. I’m interested to see a review as well. I would probably run King or Fox shocks with their hard parts.

I installed the Icon leaf springs in my '19 last week, with the Camburg 1" drop shackles. I have the IVD collar up front set at 1.75".
As the truck sits, I have a 2" rake, rear high. so I've ordered Eibach springs. With only a few hundred street driven miles, I like them. They're not firm, really not much different than stock right now.
Downside, IVD customer service needs major help. My order arrived missing parts. After taking pictures, multiple emails and too many phone calls, I paid for the missing parts. (about $40)(read reviews, I'm not the only one to receive them missing hardware) Today, while backing out pf a parking spot, they made a loud clunk noise 2x. My first thought is to re-torque everything, so I'll try that when I free up some time this week. Reading another thread, one guy had the same popping issue, called IVD and didn't get the service he expected, so he swapped them for Deavers and says he is happy now.
I'm not unhappy with the ride, as long as I can get the noise fixed. I plan to tow my UTV in the coming weeks, this will be the real test for my use.

Are you set on Icon? If so..why?
While the Gen 1 and Gen 2 trucks do have differences, there are competent aftermarket companies that have spent a ton of time testing to be able to offer some well sorted components for these truck. 9 years in, they know what works.
If it were me spending your money... I would get Deaver (+2 or +3), switch to King 3.0's and add a bump stop kit out back. This is a very well proven set up.

I cannot comment on the Stage 3, but do have Icons on my 2019 F250 and the coil overs on my 2019 Land Cruiser. Great shocks for the money in my opinion. I am in the oilfield on crappy lease roads a lot and these are the only shocks that have held up on my Superduties. I think this is my 5th set on 5 trucks.
Their customer service blows. They have sent wrong parts several times and rarely reply in a decent timeframe.
Just my .02

Those of you with customer service issues. Did you buy directly from Icon or did you work through a vendor? And we’re the issues through the vendor or through Icon themselves.

just curious.

Both for me. Had 2 separate issues. One with a longtime personal friend who happens to be a vendor for Icon and many other brands, receiving wrong replacement part for me. Second time was with IVD directly sending wrong part.
Love the shocks though. Once you get them on they are great. I work away from home 300+ days a year and put 60-80k miles per year so I am good with spending money to get good parts.
