Gen 2 Gas Mileage

I got 17.5 both calculated and on the display using 89 octane. Roads are rural 35 to 55 speed limit but sometimes doing 65+. Run 600 miles a week.

Should you be using 87 in the damn thing? Even my dealership drives across town to fill the Gen 2 raptors up with 91 when I got them.

Pretty solid 17. Use 91 octane it is the best we have. No complaints at all.

I had no idea about this. Thank you! I have calculated mine by hand using an app since I bought it. I average about 16.5mpg with 93 octane mixed driving conditions about 500 miles a week. The gauge in the truck was always off by about 1mpg, drove me crazy.

There is a hidden feature on F-150's called "Engineering Test Mode." You can change certain features within this mode and the fuel mileage calculation is one of them. The link below has good info on how to make the change. Post #60 is a good starting point. It does take some trial and error to get the truck into test mode unless your lucky the first time you try. I was not but I figured it out. ForScan isn't needed, the tool built into the truck. I've only changed my fuel calculation but you can google "Engineering Test Mode" and get much more info if you want to delve into it.

Gen 1 here but I can only dream of those numbers!
10.1 is the best I’ve ever seen on my 14 screw.
