Those that already have their 2019, how clear is the back up camera? More so at night in darker conditions. Daylight and near perfect conditions they arent bad but those that have a 17 and probably the 18 know Ford left some effort/quality on the table with this technology. Blurry and grainy and not worth a shit. Debating on ordering backup lights. Just wondering if Ford has used a better quality backup camera since the 17s.

I doubt it. Else it would have been mentioned! And the crickets since yesterday should let you know it persisted from 2017.

Looks like the license plate lights are an issue too. On the Raptor (and all F-150?) they shine a little bit upwards, towards the back up camera. You can find topics regarding this, and also replacement of them with the superduty license plate lights.
I replaced my license plate light housings with the Super Duty housings.
Mostly because I hated how the F150 housings point upward and illuminate the tailgate. The 1st pic is my truck with Super Duty light housings. The 2nd pic is someone else's truck with stock F150 housings.

Thanks for the pics, that's incredibly helpful. I have a '19 and the back-up camera view definitely looks washed out/over exposed on the monitor and this certainly explains why.

Picked mine up yesterday, and backing up into the driveway at night I noticed how all the red lens light in the back overwhelmed the camera/picture and made everything looks red. Wondering if some brighter clear LED replacement bulbs would help.

I never knew people were doing that. Ill have to do some searching on this. So do they help that much that the camera is actually useful at night or backup lights still be useful?
It helps a little. I did that on mine. The bulbs are cheap and easy to change . Much brighter at night Got from vendor on here. Search old posts on it.
