I'll tell you mods are helluva lot cheaper than child support & alimony. I highly recommend having all packages delivered to a UPS store. Enjoy the mods. BTW I kept the Raptor & replaced the wife...., or was that the other way around? Did she replace me..?

So I'm finally getting around to going from stock to mid-perch. Driver's side-we removed the set-screw and the blue spring mount does not move, it's stuck. After an hour the truck was put back together.
Needless to say I went to the local ford deal to ask. I get the answer that my part number from the vin is different than that listed in the print outs. The kicker is the note stating the 2010-2014 raptor shocks are NOT adjustable.
anyone else running into this ?? are they really not adjustable?

Thanks! we did indeed try a BFH i'll have to try again on passenger side see if that one will move.
I think it's BS that ford has documentation that these are non-adjustable. Wasted an hour with them just to get a page print out saying that.

I think it's BS that ford has documentation that these are non-adjustable. Wasted an hour with them just to get a page print out saying that.

I sprayed mine with some PB Blaster for a few days before attempting the perch move. Made it a lot easy. Will also help to use a small angled pic to make sure all the hidden crap is cleaned out around the bottom of the ring. That little bit of crud will make it even harder.

Once you move the ring into the new position, just wipe all the lubricant off and your ready to go. That little bit left behind the collar will leak out when the shock warms up, but that will hep with protecting the tube from corrosion.

I did mine, it seems about the same except now with my 35's, no more rubbing and it seems a bit stiffer in the front.

You gained about 2.5" up front so it makes sense that the 35's don't rub... The mid perch compresses the spring which gives the stiffer feeling...
The front won't dive as much when you break hard and the control should be much better. Especially high speed off roading.

So far so BadAss, I have noticed it doesn't dive into the turns anymore, also stiffer on the street is better.

If you can't get it done skip ford and go to a shop. My local Big O put mine to mid perch and did alignment for $200 when I bought the truck. I have since done it myself and you should be able to break it loose.
