It's a brand thing. Ford took their Raptor brand and sacrificed it to the marketing Gods to double down on their Ecoboost bet.

It's a sad thing to see. At least the 2013s and 2014s can still be had.

2 years ago this week at the original Snoball 500, I heard members of this forum specifically ask the SVT Engineers for a Ecoboost Raptor... They even took a poll in the room of who among us would buy a new Raptor if they offered an Ecoboost.

Now, I'm sure this wasn't anywhere near their only market research or the deciding factor, but seeing all these complaints, I'm all :lol2:

i already ordered one, offroad package, midperch and a speciality v8 for kicks...bam! raptorprincess ain't got shit on me...
Don't forget your Browning sticker!

The Front fenders and such were stated that like our current truck will be composite construction.

The 3.5L EB motor we are getting will be like the Ford GT motor. Its based off what they did for the Daytona Prototype racing. So it should be a detuned version of the GT. The question will be what turbo's the Raptor gets and what turbos the T gets to see how much we will be able to squeeze from the motor before having to change out the turbos which is $$$$

I am glad it at least is getting a properly built motor. So as @Rookie you should not get one as the motor is going to be very $$$$ to replace on the 17's when you take it for a swim.

Shit. I thought those were propellers.

Everyone needs to stop lying to themselves. If they were on dealer lots right now you'd contemplate getting in your truck and going to buy it. I would prefer a v8 but if I can get more out of the ecoboost then hell ya. I also think I might be the only one who likes the tail gate. My only complaint are the bedsides and front fenders.

This will be out right when I graduate from college. I'm thinking it'll make a good graduation present to myself. Who wants a big green boat with some poverty mods? I heard the 6.2 makes a great boat engine...

Seriously, I'm saying it now... everyone needs to embrace the new Raptor for what it is. It's a Raptor. If you hate it, or you hate the V6 engine...that is fine. Voice your opinion. Just understand that others will also have their opinions, so let's try to keep the butt hurt to a minimum within the FRF family. Go troll Youtube or Facebook if you need to get it out of your system.

Deal?

The front end must be a cousin of Roz From Monsters inc.

I didn't read all 1000 posts so I apologize if someone already commented on this but I'm assuming only the scab will be out in 2017. I will have to wait until 2018 model year to get a screw??!! (That's what my wife said)

SVT is being swallowed by Ford's Global Performance Group, and will no longer exist.

Does this mean they will no longer be limited in production? Will they just become another trim package? This would keep the dealers from gouging by jacking up the prices, this would make them a more common sight on the street.
