Hate to **** in your cherios but one guy took his to Ford and they beat the hell outta the lower part moving it up. Look it over before you pay. Does anybody remember that thread ?

Yeah, I do. I always make a habit of looking things over after I have someone work on them. It's just a good idea.

Got my perch adjusted to middle for $100 and an alignment for $50 last week. I watched over the guy to make sure he knew what he was doing. Just tell the mechanic there is a set screw on the collar he has to back off before he adjusts it.

How many of you are getting the middle perch mod done at a Ford dealer? I took my Raptor in to have the window fixed and asked for a quote to have the shocks/springs adjusted to the middle perch. I was contacted stating that my Raptor does not have adjustable shocks?!?!

Here is the response from the Service Manager:
However I am not sure you can adjust. I contacted our Ford field service engineer and looked in the Work Shop Manual as did the technician working on your vehicle when you were in for service and we could not find anything related to adjustments on your FOX suspension. We also looked in the owner publications and could not find anything related to Ford dealers making adjustments. Where are you getting the information that there is an adjustment?
I googled it and found blogs about a “middle perch” adjustment that is done by aftermarket shops. It has something to do with a setting on the Fox shocks and is not a Ford setting. We want to help, but on our end there is no Ford authorized adjustment that we can make at this time. If I can help in any way I will. If you can get back with me on where you are getting the information we can work together to find a option for you. Thank you very much for responding and I will wait to hear form you.

Has anyone else experienced this from their dealer?

Thanks,

Trugrit

We have been buying from these guys forever. After all we are a ford family.. They are top line mechanics working there and I trust them. When I first read the thread of the mechanic beating the shit out the shock, i was pissed. I would have raised hell if I were him.

I got mine done a couple of weeks ago by taking advantage of the great deal that SOCOMech has going for the AZ guys and I love it. I took the swaybar off at the same time, so I can't comment on cornering manners, but under braking the nose stays up a lot better.

I can also notice the change in stance every time I look at the truck. It runs a lot better in the dirt too (partly due to the swaybar delete I'm sure).

You're gonna love it.

Sweet! I cant wait! I will post on here when I get it back tomorrow I will post my experience!

Mine goes in Thursday for mid perch, stainless/braided brake lines install and DOT 4 flush. $290 not including alignment.

That doesn't seem too bad. I was going to find a dealer nearby (besides harbin) that could quote me a price then tell Harbin i could go elsewhere. I will post my price w/ realignment tomorrow.

Don't know of were you can get it done but possibly try the dealer. It is perfectly fine for the truck the front FOX coil overs were designed for adjustment.

The middle is great, although I will be moving to the top. The local Raptor shop (Rock and Roll Offroad) does the middle perch and alignment for $250. Hopefully you can find a similar deal in WA.

mid perch done

before and after. It looks and feels so much better. The driving experience is definitely more aggressive than stock.

I had corrosion around my lower ring too on the Fox. It wasn't noticeable until now that it's on the middle ring.

Sucks.
