No talk of ADM yet but they still don’t know CDN MSRP?? Has anyone heard different? And the luxury tax is in effect come Sept of this year so ya it will apply to any truck arriving after that, which is all R models. So add another $17,500 in Alberta and even more in provinces with PST.

Nice, so “starting at $145,100” and $147,650 with the lone option. That’s palatable and not as bad as I had expected.

How is the Luxury Tax calculated?​

The tax will be calculated as the lesser of:

• 20% of the retail sale price above the relevant price threshold ($100,000 for vehicles and aircraft; $250,000 for vessels); or
• 10% of the retail sale price of the subject vehicle, aircraft, or vessel.

The way it was explained to me is that in this circumstance, if the Raptor R is $147,650 you will either pay 20% on everything over $100,000 (in this case 20% of $47,650=$9530) or 10% of the total cost of the vehicle (10% of 147,650=$14,765) and would pay whichever of the two is less (in this case obviously $9530).

canadian dealers have no allocations yet so this was just a mockup order. Ive been speaking to a couple of dealers since last year regarding R but they all want ADM, If there’s any dealers out there who will do MSRP I’m ready with deposit I’m sure they will make money on my trade.
