I was being a goof. I never got past grade 8 physics. Thanks for the advice.
Hey, I've had tons of experience towing with my Raptor, overweight, etc, going up the grapevine in Socal, even the mountain roads here, I see 5 or 6 vehicles catch fire going up the mountains every year, all of them are motorhomes or trucks towing trailers. A lot of people are not knowledgable, hense why you need an advanced driver license here in BC when towing a fifth wheel of a larger size. Just giving you advice is all, wouldn't want you blowing your motor or worse, there's no parts available right now to deal with a major repair/replacement.

I truly appreciate your advice. Not only is there a shortage of replacement parts but I have a severe shortage of replacement dollars right now.

The wife and I were talking about their pie on the way through Auburn this morning. They’ll probably be closed our next time by.

The issue is your supercharger. You’re generating more power and more heat than the factory cooling system was ever designed to handle. Never mind that the S/C heat exchanger reduces airflow through the radiator.

Combine that with the weight and drag of a 26’ travel trailer and desert temperatures, and I’m honestly surprised that the coolant boiling over was the worst that happened. At that point you’re getting into melted piston ringland territory. It’s not a matter of if you will have an engine failure, but when.

Just know your truck. You should be able to "feel" where you truck is happy while going up hill. I've towed a lot (different loads and trailers) and no 2 inclines or declines are ever the same. Looking at "factory" dyno graphs, the sweet spot is between 2.5k to 4k RPM. But, remember coolant has to cool AND flow. 4K might have more torq but you're sacrificing engine temp where the coolant doesn't sit in the radiator long enough to cool it down. 2.5-3k you might have to be in the right lane with the 4-ways on not moving as fast. Heat kills, high heat kills faster...I just flushed, filled and changed the stat to a 170 and haven't seen the the gauge move much down in the NV,AZ,CA heat.
Options are out there. Any of the Ford truck engines are work horses from the 5.4 to 3.5EB to 6.2 and 7.3 (which needs to be in the raptor IMO).
AND we haven't even touched on the aftermarket mods, weather or terrain. Towing can be a science.
OK off my soap box. Happy Memorial DAY everyone

I’m having the same issue. Following another thread on this forum with same issues, no solutions yet. One particular grade I always reach near overheating temps, if it wasn’t a short grade I’d have to pull over. It’s usually around 100° ambient. Thing is, I don’t feel I’m “pushing it”. 5000# camper, 55-60mph in 3rd gear, only about 1/2 throttle to maintain speed. Is being part throttle the issue? Lean stock tuning but under load? I have fresh coolant, no leaks, 170° thermostat and no mods. The return trip the grade is not as steep but much longer, does not heat up. Wtf.
