Just wait until Roush or (God forbid) Hennessey modify a 2017. I'm sure their numbers will be great.. the Hennessey will probably start on fire either way. How are those guys still in business?

It doesn't strike me as insecurity. The issue is whether comparisons make sense in real-world settings that match the purpose for which Ford built these trucks, and what facts and assumptions are leading to the conclusions. Lot's of bending over and pulling out whatever someone thinks will make the case here (i.e $50k and whatnot). Stands to reason that people will call b.s. on, well, b.s. Both are cool trucks, that's a fact. All the " stock gen 2 is better than modded gen 1" stuff is conjecture. A few Raptor events will clear that up nicely.

x3...a lot of insecurity within the G1 group. When the G3 Raptor comes out and its better then my G2, im not going to cry about it, Im going to be excited that Ford is creating progress, and probably buy one! I Never understood on why so many people take it personally that there older Gen vehicle isnt as capable as the latest gen. Cracks me up. They call Gen 2 people snowflakes...lol I think they should look in the mirror at the thin skin.

all of the supercharger companies/vendors are loosing business share as most of the new vehicles come with turbos, or SCs already on them. Henessey is the only SC company I have seen embracing the new raptor, even though they wont sell $10k kits on them like the G1 trucks.

They already are, no gen 2 placed at raptor x.

Roush won't be much better from what I understand, from what I hear their work with the other ecoboosts hasn't been very impressive.

For the Jenn 2-JZ bench racers, here's a Jenn 2-JZ struggling with a naturally aspirated GenWon on the beach...

Uhh yeah. Sound stock to me. Embellish it a bit more, the Gen2 has quad turbos and a 4.0 bored out motor too right? Gen1 stock. Wow. You're right, I'll straight trade my truck for yours.

Guess you didn't bother to read the detailed description posted with the video?

Girls, I know you think your Jennies can defy physics, but at the end of the day, there is some very simply math at play.

JDM 650 (if running right) makes 650 horsepower. I'll assume it weighs 6500 pounds (around 300 more than stock, which is way more than what a Whipple kit weighs). 6500/650 = 10 pounds per horsepower.

Stock Jenny makes 450 horsepower and weighs about 5700 pounds. 5700/450 = 12.67 pounds per horsepower.

I know your horses are really unicorns, so they are slightly faster than regular horses, but at the end of the day... physics.

You're going to need around 550+ horsepower to get there in the real world. And by now the hype of 250 horsepower gains from only the 2JZ toonz have long since been burst, so get ready to open your wallets... and lose your warranties.

Sorry girls.

don't feed the trolls lol Facts are tough for some people. My buddy Alex (the one with G1 whipple supercharged) and I have raced 15 times at least in the sand in two different drag strips...same results each time. Henessey did a 13.9 ET 1/4 mile with a Rousch G1 and several people are running 13.7-14.1 with 17 Raptors stock.

Just tell me when you want to trade that truck of yours. I'm excited just thinking about how incredible it must be to drive.
