I'm sure the service department would have really got a kick out of the fact that he had plunged some shit into his truck, it threw codes and upon removing it and two start cycles (which cleared the codes) everything is back to normal.

You keep on being a fear monger and carry on being right.

You keep forgetting the 1 key fact - it threw the same codes after the PC was removed - why?

Fear mongering is what sasquatch does telling us every truck is doomed without a weep hole.

This limp mode issue is very rare, there's probably been 50-100 trucks reported on the F150 forum with the issue out of ~1m sold since 2015. For Ford, that's a rounding error. It just sucks if its your truck.

I agree that if it's a short that would be a nightmare to track down. And I understand what you are saying with regard to it happening one time after and I'm simply saying that sometimes it takes a few OKs givin by all of the parts for the system to clear the codes, for lack of better terminology.

And we are in agreement about the Sas and his weephole!

All seems fine so far. Issues seem to arise when I change the setting on the PC, I have left it in sport for a couple of days and no problems, but I think it may have to do with the transmission software learning in different modes. Not throwing faults, but weird shifting patterns and gear holding.

Minus your issues are you happy with the mod? Should I buy one?

JD,
This depends on how much you need more responsiveness in normal mode.

Normal can be a bit lazy, and unwilling to downshift but P/C makes it respond more quickly. It’s basically altering the TPS signal, it’s not clear if it is a linear or asymmetrical / non-linear alteration. It does make the truck drive much more responsively in normal drive mode.

Where does the PC tap into the truck? Do you plug it into the OBD port? Does it plug into the peddle? Other???

It plugs into multiple locations in the engine bay. Instructions on website.

You sure? I was under the impression it simply plugs into the pedal harness.... Basically plug your pedal into the PC and then the PC into the factory harness. All under the dash at the pedal.
