sometimes the gears aren’t displayed on the dash

Sometimes I’ve noticed the transmission gear indicator is blank. I’m not sure if I did something in particular to make it manifest, but it’s not consistent as far as I can tell.

anyone else notice this?

Hit the upshift button on the side of the shifter and see if that brings them back.

Any idea why it sometimes doesn’t come up?
is it unique to a pattern? like if you remote start it, or does it only come up when you mess with the paddles or gear shift +/- ?

Somebody must have hit the button by mistake to make it go away.

This is quite possible.

<edit to add:> hey, go figure ! I tested this out and sure enough the shifter button seems to make the gears go away / come back. Thanks!

Same thing will happen if you use the paddle shifters while not in manual mode. Hit the left shifter and the numbers go away, hit the right one and they come back....

If you hit the left one you will start locking out gears.
Be careful cause it will not shift past whatever one you stop at.

I have been seeing the same issue. The 1-10 gears displayed in the dash just come and go. No reason why. Weird!! Will play around with the suggestions tomorrow!

I am having the same issue...just suddenly the 10 numbers disappear. Several times this has happened and I have been able to use the paddles or shift the stick to "M" mode and then back up to D and they came back. Once though I tried all of these tricks and they did not come back for some time...in and out of park several times.

I agree, would like to know why this is happening in the first place.
