Maybe see if you can spray some wd40 on there and let it soak overnight. Might help.

Good luck getting the old one out. The new one will fail in the same way, they rust through and break leaving part of the tube stuck. This is a common problem. I replaced mine with a nice Lokar when it happened to me.
