Winch options

Hey guys, so I just ordered a ADD Race Series R bumper with the option for a winch. Since I'll be traveling through the Canadian rockies every week from now till next spring i figured it would best to get a decent bumper and winch for safety.

So just seeing who has a winch and which one you're using! Cheers

Honestly, I have no experience with winches. But I started looking into them after watching this YouTube channel Matt’s Off-road Recovery. He literally does this for a living and has tons of views, he uses the Harbor Freight “Badlands Apex” winch. Some of the stuff at harbor freight is junk, but somethings are literally second to none. I have over 250hrs on a harbor freight generator without an issue. It may be worth looking into.

Superwinch Talon 12.5 here. I have the hidden mount and the winch will pull the ass out of a semi.

I ended up buying the smittybuilt H2O 10k with a synthetic rope. Seems to be a popular choice.
