You miss the point, there is more water buildup than what an injection would mist/meter in. The slug of water produced by the intercooler is enough to blow out spark, and on occasion enough to hydrolock the engine. You would be surprised how little water is needed to hydrolock this engine. Someone on f150ecoboost did the calculation.
