Would this be a good which for the Raptor Zeon10. The 10 designates a 10,000 pound pulling capacity. They range from 8,000 to 12,000 and come with a synthetic or steel rope.

As long as you carry winch extenders, block and tackle, and pull pal.

The reason I say that is a Raptor weighing close to 6280lbs stuck frame deep in mud (300% vehicle weight) on 15 degree incline (25% vehicle weight) equals around 20,410 lbs of force needed.

I would suggest the Zeon 12 over the 10. If a vehicle is on a neg. inclide or in deep mud/snow, the load increases significantly, so better to be safe than dead.

I was considering the same winch. The 12,000 lb winch doesn't have the synthetic rope option. The 10,000 is plenty. If you throw a snatch block in the line you now have 20,000 lbs of pulling power. The truck would be dragging/sliding into the direction of whatever you're pulling. You'd be better off tying off to a tree or a sturdy object with the blocked(2nd) line if you have the capability. There's a bunch of tricks if you're looking to get more pulling power.

But if you are on a 15 degree incline why would you try to pull the truck up? I would pull it back down the hill. Use gravity to your advantage.

On a side note, does anybody make a winch mount for this winch or do they all mount the same?

I have always found Winches to have universal mount points.

I should quantify the above statement by saying the Warn and Ramsey winches I have used in the past both had the same mounting points.
