Valley of Fire State Park-A Must See on your next Vegas Adventure

If you ever get out to the Vegas area, VOF State Park needs to be on your MUST SEE short list. It’s about an hour north of town on I-15. Even if you just drive through the area it’s breathtaking! Allow yourself the day and immerse yourself in the incredible Sandstone with a hike or two

Mouse's Tank to Elephant Arch is a nice hike with lots of side exploring potential if you have a shuttle.

I do mostly Off-Trail on the East/NE side of park. The Sandstone arches snd formations are unbelievable. I’ve found this one canyon I’ve had great luck finding the Bighorns

I did VoF last week, 90% of the trails were wash where you couldn’t go fast enough to drown them out. It was pretty miserable. The sand at the end was fantastic however.

The hiking is definitely better than the off-roading there, but it’s a great place for the Family Raptor Christmas Photos lol
Many great 4x4 trails in the surrounding areas and all up/down North Shore Rd.
