Transfer case crack and failure

Anybody seen this type of failure? 2010 5.4L Raptor. It's a complete crack all around the case behind the bolt up flange. The case was replaced.

I also have a busted one same place. Dealer ship saying my fault because rear shocks have been fully compressed.
It is also has broken piece inside transmission.
I was in the shop 3-4 times for vibration and told them to look at rear output it has play. They said it was okay.
Manager said 1663 to replace.

The travel is there to be used. Are they stock shocks?

Yes all stock. No performance mods.
That is what I said, told him it would have bump stops first.

Unless there is some cross frame damage from hitting an obstruction, I don't see why it wouldn't be covered.

I had a steering gear housing crack when my truck was brand new. About 10,000 miles on it. I unfortunately couldn't get it covered as well. Said it was abuse. I also has an aftermarket tie rod, so I couldn't argue. But sounds like you should have a chance.

It makes me mad because I told them there is a problem I have the work orders. 3 times I was in there complaing about transfercase problems. They said eveything is okay.

Just starting to get bad taste about ford. Truck has been in shop more then any truck I have owned.
3000 miles ago had new engine put in. Now it burns a qrt of oil in 2500 miles. Still not fixed, also anti freeze is low.
Along with a passanger door problem.
Just saying buy a new truck and get the shaft.

Like your steering gear housing how can that part be abused. You and netix both broke it, I work in the oil patch and we drive company trucks like we stole them, I drive it harder then the raptor and when it rains it gets muddy. Never have had any problem, maybe ford needs to look into problems a little better.
Every time somebody says my master servise tech. Said. I just roll my eyes. Most the time the guy is some kid out of school.
