I should have searched! lots of good opinions for and against, I think fords intention is safety and getting the truck to feel like a car
I agree, but opinions definitely vary. I went back and forth for a long time before removing mine but I'm happy without it, I noticed no adverse affects on pavement but think mid perch offsets that in all but the worst instances (like panic braking in a hard turn on a downward slope, but in that case would a swaybar really save you, maybe not). I used to race quads in the desert and independent, long travel suspension made all the difference in going fast over uneven terrain, I went to a flattrack race once and just adding a swaybar and TT tires and it made an UNREAL difference, you couldn't flip it if you tried (well unless you ran into/over someone else).
