So I installed the Roush cat back exhaust and it sounds awesome. How important is the cold air intake?

Neither are important. An intake pretty much lets you hear the turbos if your window is down.

its basically $$$ being put out to hear a sound when the windows are down. So you cant hear it in the winter when its cold as dammit and the snow is blowing sideways with your windows up?:D

I would put one on if you want, probably get more air flow in the engine, etc. Are you planning on getting a Roush tune afterwards to benefit the add-ons?
