Remove wood grain from bezel

Found a OEM Nav bezel I plan to buy so I can put an aftermarket radio in my truck. Only problem is it's wood grain. Is it just a decal, if so what's the easiest way to remove or can it be painted?

I used a heat gun to remove a wood grain kit i had on a different vehicle. You need to have a lot of patience because it takes some time.
