So about a week ago every once in a while I would get a strange hard to describe noise that would come from the PAX side. it would be very brief so didn't think much of it, fast forward a few days it's a little more frequent also I crawled under the truck and noticed that the pax side of the rack and pinion has some fluid coming from the boot, and in the valleys of the boot I got a bunch of holes....now It isn;t grease it is fluid, so I assume that I may need a new R/P soon? Thanks guys

yes - sounds like it. I have the same issue with leaking from passenger side boot. Cant find a rack and pinion anywhere. Got ideas? Gen one 6.2 crew cab 2011 Raptor

you can get the rebuilt, or rebuild them yourself. i found companies that rebuild them for $150-$250. trying to find a new one was impossible for me
