Just got my Gen 3 Iconic Silver Raptor and was thinking about having the wheel fenders painted iconic silver, the front bumper and skid plate iconic silver. Have the grille, hood scope, vents and tailgate placard painted gloss black. Just seeing what you guys thought and if you’ve done it. I’d also remove the badging except for the FP.

To each their own, do what you want. I will say that I like the grey fenders on the lighter colors, Oxford white, Silver, etc. but on dark colors like black or AMB painting looks good. The contrast helps define the Raptor body lines. And having to touch up paint might suck.

Fenders, bumper, skid plate all take lots of hits from sand and gravel. Depending on local conditions, you might be doing a lot of touch up. Around here, the best color is the one as close as possible to the color of the plastic underneath ...
I am only able to +1 this post, but if I could add say... 99 more pluses I would.

It depends on your use case. If you plan to go off road at all, and why on EARTH wouldn’t you... then mod carefully.

1) Measure twice.
2) Cut once.
3) Blame @Oldfart when your mod does not come out as planned.

HTH!

 I agree, I think the contrast looks good, and I think it would likely be a pain to keep all the paint matched pieces nice looking.

If you look at Wild Willies at Aiken fords youtube channel they build a lot of raptors to be very similar to what you describe. I think some colors look better paint matched than others. To each their own for sure on this one.

Look at that...
Ask and you shall receive
Pretty cool being able to see the vision before actually doing it.
Good luck whichever way you decide to go
